Freebie and a Plea

When was the last time you went to bed hungry? As you are reading this blog, I bet it was so long ago you can no longer remember, if you ever did. I know I've never felt the pain of hunger in my body. We all know that there are children dying in so many places the world over, exotic places like Kenya and Somali. Places most of us have never been and few of us will ever go. But did you know that in the United States, one in four kids doesn't get  enough to eat, doesn't know from where or even when his next meal will come? I don't like that statistic; it really hits close to home. So this freebie is to raise awareness of childhood hunger in America, and I'm asking you, if you can, to donate just $1.00. Just one dollar! Most of us spend more on a cup of coffee than that, every day if not several times a day! A single dollar can feed 10 kids. Imagine how many we could feed if we gave up buying our gourmet coffee and made it at home instead, donating the money we saved.
